Securing residence at Ackrite TL requires the payment of first month household contrabutions, and further financial arrangements can be discussed. A minimum 1 month recovery commitment must be made. Research has demonstrated that the longer one lives in a sober community the stronger his recovery becomes as his chances of long term recovery increase. Recovery is a way of life.

All residents are required to take and pass a drug test; those who do not pass are not allowed to live at Ackrite TL. For the safety of other residents, Ackrite TL will not accommodate people who are maintenance programs including Suboxone, Subutex, Adderall, Ritalin, Methadone, narcotic painkillers or any Benzodiazepines .Everyone must be able to supply an emergency contact, as well.

Finally, all residents must, within two weeks of arrival, find employment, enroll in school, or volunteer their time. Engagement in productive activities is expected of all residents. For those early in recovery, the phrase 90 in 90 applies. Every man new to Ackrite TL is required by the House Rules to attend 90 meetings (AA or NA) in 90 days. They have two weeks to obtain a sponsor from these AA or NA meetings, begin working the steps and building a sober network of men. Attend mandatory house meeting (Sunday) . After doing 90/90, every resident is expected to attend at least 3-5 meetings a week. All residents are subject to random or regular weekly drug testing and alcohol testing.
